Psalm 23:3
He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
This week, take time to go deeper by meditating on the Scripture from Sunday’s sermon and prayerfully applying it to your life. Use these questions to guide your reflection in a journal or notebook.
- Read Psalm 19:7–11
God’s Word is described as restoring the soul. In what specific ways do God’s promises renew and strengthen your heart when you meditate on them? How does 1 Peter 1:3 enlighten your understanding of the phrase “He restores my soul”?
- Read Isaiah 40:10–11
This passage portrays the Shepherd as gathering, carrying, and gently leading His flock. In a recent trial, how have you experienced the Lord gathering you, carrying you, or leading you? How does remembering this deepen your trust in Him?
- Read Proverbs 4:11
This verse connects the “paths of righteousness” with learning the way of wisdom. How does filling your mind with God’s wisdom guide your steps into righteous living? What is one practical step you can take today to walk further down this path?
- Read Psalm 23:1–3
List all the actions the Shepherd takes for the good of His sheep in these verses. What do these actions reveal about God’s character and His care for you?
- Read Psalm 25:11 and Psalm 31:3
Both passages mention God acting “for His name’s sake.” What does this teach you about why God leads, forgives, and guides His people? How does this truth encourage you as you seek to live for His glory?
- Prayer Response
Write a prayer to the Lord based on what you have learned from Psalm 23:3 this week. Ask Him to restore your soul and lead you in His righteous paths.
